Jade Clean Technology and Energy
Jade is commercialising clean coal technologies, in particular Underground Coal Gasification (UCG).
Underground Coal Gasification is a process of extracting the energy value from coal without mining it. Instead the coal is gasified in-situ at high temperature and then extracted as a hydrogen and methane rich gas known as syngas.
Syngas has many global applications and the resulting carbon dioxide can be captured and stored in the spent coal seams, thus enabling coal to be used as a low-carbon fuel.

Jade is developing a portfolio of low-carbon energy projects based upon underground coal gasification technology. Jade designs, implements and operates syngas producing projects using best of breed clean technology and our own technical know-how. We expect to deliver long term returns for investors and partners. |
Low-Carbon Fuel
There is a global market for Syngas as it has about a third of the energy value of natural gas and can readily be converted into low-carbon fuels.
 Syngas can be used to fuel combined cycle power plants (CCPP) that produces electricity with a lower-carbon footprint than conventional power stations 
 Syngas can be converted into higher-value liquid fuels and fertilisers including: Dimethyl ether (DME), Methanol, Clean-Diesel and Ammonia
